I grew up on the water and have loved everything that it has to offer. I spent my entire childhood either fishing for bass and crappie with my grandfather or duck hunting the rivers and swamps with some of the best friends a man could have. I was introduced to salt water fishing in my teenage years and have been hooked ever since. I started my first businesses in my early 20’s and this gave me the opportunity to spend a lot more time in the gulf, which also gave me some of the best memories of my life. It was always my dream to be able to fish offshore as much as possible and then the thought of making a career out of it started this wonderful journey. Being in business at such an early age taught me a lot about thinking outside the box and how to own and run a successful company. I truly feel that God has led me in this direction and with his help and my wonderful friends and family it has been more than I could have ever imagined.
Many people have asked me why I would want to do this as a career, my answer is I am doing what I love and am passionate about, but at the same time I am able to introduce and teach many new anglers to the joys and memories of this great sport. Many have also told me it would never work, and I would lose my passion for fishing. Nothing is further from the truth! I have created a successful business and have more passion than ever before for the art of off shore fishing. There is no greater joy than to know that at the end of the day you have taught someone something new and provided lifetime memories to new friends and families. I strive everyday to develop new and better fishing strategies and to never forget that my customers are the ones who help make this happen. I learned from a very young age to always treat people how you want to be treated and I pride myself and my crew with knowing that we provide the very BEST customer service in our industry.

Hello and thanks for checking out our website. I am Gary, Captain of The Misty, and I would love to have you come and fish with me. I have been fishing in the gulf for 15years. I started as a deckhand on the Bollweevil with a great friend and the best snapper fisherman I’ve ever known, Gloyice Ard. I also worked on a couple of other boats, The Ashley Renee, and The Megan “O”, before coming to The Misty. I have been on The Misty for 7 years now. My son Jamie is my first mate. He has been a mate for 12 years and he’s been with me aboard The Misty for the last 5 years. Please come see us on The Misty and LET’S GO FISHING!
CAPTAIN DENNY
I have lived on the gulf coast all my life, and I am currently Captain of The Outcast. I started deep sea fishing for Captain Howard Hall in 1982. I was a deckhand on The Moreno Queen until the fall of 1997 and then started driving The Moreno Queen, which is a 90 foot head boat, until it sold in 2003. I spent the off season building concert high rises in Orange Beach and Perdido Key, or driving crew boats in the gulf off of Louisiana. After The Moreno Queen sold, I drove a 6 passenger boat called Fantsea, and I owned the charter boat Wish Bone from 2007 until 2010. Then later that year, I started driving The Rookie II, and after the owners passing I drove The Rookie. At the present time I have over 28 years experience deep sea fishing and love every minute of it!
