“Fishing on the Outcast was a great way to introduce my 12 y/o daughter to offshore fishing. What a wonderful experience. I was amazed at the size of the Red Snapper we caught on just a 6 hour trip. I fish private charters 2-3 times a year, but was looking for a way to let my daughter experience fishing on a shorter trip. When we couldn’t get a walk-on for a 6 passenger boat, I decided to try the Outcast. I had always heard that you never caught good fish on a Head Boat, but they must not have fished on the Outcast. My daughter caught 2 Red Snapper in the 15 pound range, and we rounded out our limit with 2 more over 10 pounds. We caught 3-4 more good snapper and gave them away to help others limit. We also caught B-liners, Trigger, and a Scamp. Others on the boat caught Grouper and a Cobia. I was amazed at the quality of this trip. What a great value on a nice comfortable boat. “Friends if your in the area, Captain Ed is the man you have to see. This is the best deep water sea experience I’ve been on. He put us on the biggest snappers in less than and hour. We caught so many we couldn’t keep them all. And none of them were small. Big fish is his game. But be ready no sitting around on this boat, deck hand Kelly keeps you fishing the whole time. “I want to start by saying what a good time we had. This was my 5th time on ‘The Outcast’ boat. I look forward to my fishing trip each time we vacation in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. This was the first trip for my 6 year old son and even though he was on dramamine and a little out of it….he had a blast and told everyone about his fishing adventure while we were on vacation. Steve, the deck hand was excellent as always. He remained patient and was always checking in on my son. When he’d yell fish on, Steve would come running and check on the line and encourage him reel hard and call him when he got it up to the surface. Many times it was a false alarm but that didn’t seem to bother Steve. Many people from Monroe, Louisiana vacation in the area and I tell all of them about your boat and what a great trip it is. Many do go out and return to tell me what I already know. It’s the least I can do since I only make one trip a year.
